The number-search behavioural model
Three independent patterns widen discovery without turning typing into unbounded carrier traffic.
Match subscriber digits only
Each non-empty pattern contains 2 to 7 digits and must fit the subscriber portion of the selected prefix. Duplicate or invalid patterns disable Search. Results match any active pattern, not all of them. Every returned batch is filtered against all terms after canonicalisation and area validation.
Keep control with the customer
Search becomes Stop while running and Clear when finished. One explicit search checks at most six sequential positions in round-robin order. Cached browse offers seed results immediately. Find more explicitly requests further positions; See more and See less only change local visibility in increments of 20.
Preserve intent
A selected search result stays visible when a later page is collapsed. Location changes clear selection. Refresh is available only in browsing mode with empty patterns. Editing, paging and Clear make no availability request; there is no automatic polling or retry.
